Providing a small but vocal counterpoint to the American bishops’ “Fortnight for Freedom,” gay Catholics staged a rally in Washington, D.C.  Noting that 67% ($4 billion) of Catholic Charities’ funding comes from state and federal sources, rather than having our liberties taken away, a spokesman stated that “the Catholic Church has probably more liberties than any organization in our country.”  Read more…
